About Ask Pakistan

One front door to government information

Pakistan's government information is spread across hundreds of federal, provincial and district websites. Ask Pakistan lets you ask a question in English, Urdu or Roman Urdu and get an answer drawn from those official websites, with links to the exact pages and the steps to take next.

How it works

  1. We regularly crawl official government websites (.gov.pk and provincial government domains), including PDFs such as fee schedules and notifications.
  2. When you ask a question, an AI assistant searches that index, opens the most relevant official pages, and writes an answer using only what those pages say.
  3. Every answer links to its sources. If the sources don't cover something, the assistant says so instead of guessing.

Not a government website

Ask Pakistan is an independent service. It is not operated by or affiliated with the Government of Pakistan or any of its departments. It is not the agency of record, cannot submit applications or check your personal records, and does not give legal, tax, medical or financial advice. Fees, deadlines and procedures change — always confirm on the official page before you act.

Privacy

CNIC numbers, phone numbers, emails, passport and bank numbers are removed in your browser before your question is sent. Conversations are not stored on our servers. If you use the microphone, your recording is sent to Google's Gemini speech service only to transcribe it into the question box, and is not stored by us. If you rate an answer, the (redacted) question and answer are saved to help improve quality.

Neutrality

Ask Pakistan does not provide campaign, party or candidate information. For elections it only explains official Election Commission procedures.

Who built this

Ask Pakistan is developed by Raheel Siddiqui.
